Depending on the number of credit hours you are transferring and your desired major, the Mansfield campus may be a great option. Ten complete, four-year degree programs can be completed on the Mansfield campus.

Tip: If you’ve completed a lot of course work already, be sure the courses you need to progress toward a degree are offered. Contact us for more information.

Your planned major

Personal statement

Completing the personal statement is required for students whose academic records include interruptions in education. It is optional for others. Find the personal statement section under the “Program data” tab on the application.

Pre-professional programs

������̳ offers in dentistry, law, medicine, optometry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine. Identifying your pre-professional interest on the application will enable your advisors to provide you with a wide range of support to realize your goals.

Application fee

Before submitting your application, you will be asked for a NONREFUNDABLE $60 application fee. ������̳ accepts ACT, SAT and other fee waivers meant to assist low-income families. Students receiving the Pell Grant are also eligible for a fee waiver. To request a waiver, check the box in the Application Fee Waiver section of the application indicating the program for which you qualify. You will not be prompted to pay the application fee in order to submit the application. appropriate documentation. Fee waiver requests will be verified by Undergraduate Admissions.

Planning to apply for financial aid?

Supply your Social Security Number on your admission application if you plan to file the FAFSA and want ������̳ to receive it, or if you are the child of an ������̳ employee using the Dependent Tuition Assistance program.

These items plus your online admission application make up a complete application. Your academic record will be reviewed to determine your eligibility for admission to the university.

Official transcripts

University transcripts

Request that all colleges or universities you’ve attended send your official transcript to ������̳. Include a transcript of any college course work taken in high school. You do not need to provide a transcript for course work completed at ������̳.

How to send your transcripts to ������̳:

• If you attended an Ohio college or university, request that your transcript be sent electronically.
• For other institutions, request electronic delivery if available to avoid processing delays. If ordering a transcript online, select ������̳ as a recipient. In the absence of a list of universities to select from, have your school email your transcript directly to ugdocs@osu.edu.
• If your school does not offer electronic delivery, please have your transcript(s) mailed to: ������̳, Undergraduate Admissions, PO Box 182646, Columbus, OH 43218-2646. Transcripts should not be delivered by the student or sent to other addresses on campus. Doing so will prevent acceptance of the transcript as official.

If this course work was completed at a school outside of the United States, note that foreign language documents must be translated into English by the issuing institution, an authorized translator or a teacher of the language. Any additional requirements will be posted to your , so be sure to check your application status regularly after you've applied.

Additional requirements if you have earned fewer than 30 semester (45 quarter) hours
 

High school transcripts

If you have fewer than 30 semester (45 quarter) hours at the time of application, your high school transcript is required. Request that your high school send your official high school transcript to ������̳, electronically if possible. Faxed transcripts are not accepted.

• High school transcripts are not required if you graduated from high school before April 1, 1984, and are applying to a regional campus.

Official ACT or SAT scores

If you have taken either test, in the last two years, you must submit an official or score sent directly from the testing agency. Scores are not required from applicants who will have been out of high school for two or more years by their term of enrollment.

Additional test scores

If English is not your native language, submit one of the following scores:
 

• TOEFL: 79 or higher on Internet-based test, 550 or higher on paper-based test
• IELTS: 6.5 or higher
• ACT: 21 or higher on the English section
• SAT: 500 or higher on the Critical Reading section
• New SAT: 27 or higher on the Reading Test

February 1: Priority financial aid deadline

Every student is highly encouraged to file the FAFSA to be considered for the most financial aid (including scholarships, grants, loans and Federal Work-Study).

Course credit will transfer to ������̳ if the course was taken at a regionally accredited institution, the course was non-remedial, and you received a C- or better. In a few cases, a D or D+ may transfer; download and see page 7 for information.

In many cases, credit for equivalent courses is received when transfer credit is awarded. Visit for details about the transferability of course credit to and from Ohio and regional institutions.

������̳ offers credit for Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and DSST Exams. Visit for more information.

Military transfer credit will be accepted according to the American Council on Education’s recommendation, as listed on the Joint Services Transcript. Individual colleges determine how this credit is applied. Get .

Within 1 to 5 days of applying, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application. This email will include your OSU ID and ������̳ username (lastname.#).

• Use your OSU ID in correspondence with us about your application.
• Follow the instructions in the email to set up your ������̳ username (lastname.#). This will give you access to your where you can check on the status of your application.

Log in to your where you can monitor the status of your application. Check regularly to make sure you have no outstanding issues or anything left to do.

Your admission decision will also appear in your Applicant Center, reflecting one of the following admission decisions:

Admit: Congratulations, you have been admitted to ������̳! A notice about enrollment requirements and information about specific college enrollment are on the way.

Deny: At this time, you do not meet our admission requirements. To be considered for another semester, you may remain at your current college or university and improve your academic record. If you are not currently enrolled, you may enroll at another college or university and improve your academic profile. In both cases, you will need to contact us to update your application for a future semester.

Enable your Buckeyemail email account

From now on, important business communications from ������̳ – like your housing contract, financial aid offer and orientation information – will be sent to the email address we’ve created just for you.

If you already activated your username and created a password (you may have done this as an applicant in order to check your application status), your final step is to enable your BuckeyeMail account.

1. Go to and log in.
2. On the left side of the page, click Change email Delivery.
3. Select “Deliver my email to BuckeyeMail, the university’s email service” and click Submit.
4. That’s it! Your email username is lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu. Check your email at several times a week until school begins, and then daily.

Accept our offer of admission by paying your acceptance fee

Pay this nonrefundable $100 fee when you receive your Acceptance Fee Statement, which you will generally receive via email within three weeks of admission to ������̳.

To pay your acceptance fee, or decline the offer of admission

1. Log in to your with your ������̳ username(lastname.#) and password. 
2. Click Accept/Decline Admission and follow the instructions. (Note: It may take up to two weeks after your admission for the Accept/Decline Admission tile to appear). 
    

To delay your admissions term

Contact Undergraduate Admissions before the application deadline for your desired term to discuss your options.

View your transfer credit report and get credits evaluated

If you submitted a transcript(s) from your previous institution(s) to be evaluated for transfer credit, you may have some action steps to take before orientation.

1. Go to and log in with your ������̳ username (lastname.#) and password.
2. Click Academics and Records.
3. Look for two icons: Click Run Your Transfer Credit Report to generate your report. Click Understanding Your Transfer Credit Report to download important instructions on reading the report and getting courses evaluated.
4. For courses requiring evaluation before orientation, it is your responsibility to contact the coordinator(s). Failure to do so may result in a delay in your ability to schedule courses for your degree program. Contact the Orientation & Placement Testing Office for assistance.

Submit your final university transcript

If you have completed courses that would not appear on the transcript your college(s) already sent to ������̳, please request that a final electronic transcript be sent to ������̳ as soon as your grades have posted.

Register for orientation

Orientation is held prior to the opening of each term and is required for all students.

You will receive an email invitation to register for New Student Orientation once it opens. Orientation registration opens based on the term you are admitted:

Autumn Admit: Mid-May
Spring Admit: Mid-October
Summer Admit: Mid-March

Apply for housing

Note! On-campus housing for transfer students is not guaranteed and is dependent upon space availability. Priority, when space is available, is given to transfer students who graduated from high school within the last two years. Learn more about on-campus and off-campus housing at University Housing.

Students admitted for autumn semester: Housing information for autumn semester students is emailed to students’ ������̳ email accounts starting in mid-March, based on the date acceptance fees are paid.

Students admitted for spring or summer terms: Housing information is emailed after you have been admitted but no sooner than two months before the start of the desired term.

Receive your financial aid notification

If you are admitted for autumn semester, financial aid packages are generally available by late March. For others, notifications are rolling. You will receive an email in your BuckeyeMail account when your financial aid package is available. Haven't filed the yet? Do so by the priority date of February 1.
