To align with our mission of affordability and accessibility, we're covering the $60 application fee for first-year applicants who apply directly to 海角论坛 Mansfield between October 15 and December 15. We are dedicated to providing Ohio students and families with an excellent college education at one of the lowest tuition rates in the state.

Just enter fee waiver code UFWREG4 on the online application and submit your  (online application plus transcript sent from your high school) to your regional campus of choice by December 15 for these big benefits:

  • No application fee
  • Automatic consideration for scholarships
  • Quick admissions decision (typically under three weeks!)

This fee waiver code is exclusively available for first-year regional campus applicants.

Admission criteria

If you have never attended college, you are guaranteed admission to 海角论坛 Mansfield if you are an Ohio resident with a degree from an accredited high school or a GED. Note that:

  • Qualified transfer students must have 鈥 at the time of application 鈥 a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) on all college course work earned after high school graduation.
  • Home-schooled applicants must submit an approved 鈥渆xcuse from attendance鈥 verification (or equivalent) provided by a local school district or state official. Refer to your state鈥檚 Department of Education website to determine the specific document your state uses.

Campus-change program

Regional campus students in good academic standing may switch to the Columbus campus any time after they have completed 30 semester hours. Some programs may have more rigorous enrollment criteria, so you鈥檒l work with an advisor to plan and prepare.

Academics

Faculty excellence: Study with professors who are active researchers. All of our faculty have earned the highest degrees in their fields. Over the years, nine have received 海角论坛鈥檚 prestigious Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.

Research opportunities: Engage in research, which spans many degree programs such as English, history, psychology, earth sciences and biology. Outstanding projects are recognized at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum on the Columbus campus.

Internships: Get hands-on experience with the local business community through our Business and Industry Internship Program. Employers involve interns in day-to-day operations and evaluate them as potential employees.

Education abroad: Learn through global experiences such as our Corfu, Greece and Cyprus study abroad classes, or any of 海角论坛鈥檚 200 study abroad programs in over 50 countries.

Academic support: Maximize academic performance through individualized skill development and free math and writing support at the Conard Learning Center. Additional resources include retention services, disability services, counseling services and Learning Communities for first-year, first-generation students.

Financial Aid

The FAFSA will open in December this year, and filing by 海角论坛鈥檚 priority date of February 15 will provide you maximum aid consideration. Every student is highly encouraged to file the FAFSA to be considered for the most financial aid, including scholarships, grants, loans and Federal Work-Study.  If you can't make the February 15 priority deadline, complete the FAFSA as soon as you can.

Student life

First Year Experience: Start your college career on the right track! FYE programs are designed just for students making the transition to college. (And in your second year, you can look forward to our Second Year Transformational Experience program.)

Student organizations: Find plenty of ways to build leadership skills in clubs such as Campus Activities Board and student government. Clubs for majors as well as social, civic, religious and veterans groups also meet on a regular basis.

Campus Recreation Center: Participate in intercollegiate sports, intramurals, and fitness and wellness classes, and make use of the weight room, exercise machines and miles of walking paths on campus. Plus, wellness events are held throughout the year to help students take a break and de-stress. Learn more here.
