Student enrollment at ������̳ at Mansfield is at a four-year high, according to the enrollment census for autumn 2025.

A total of 911 students are enrolled this fall, a 7.3% increase over last year. First-year student enrollment is up more than 18% compared to 2024.

The campus continues to see strong growth locally, as well as throughout northeast Ohio, as far north as Lake Erie and as far east as the border with Pennsylvania. Counties with the most students include Richland, Cuyahoga, Crawford, Summit and Lorain.

The growth is part of an overall trend across ������̳’s regional campuses, including ������̳ ATI, which saw enrollment increase an average of 8.6%, to nearly 6,000 students across all five campuses.

Including the Columbus campus, total student enrollment is up half a percent, to 67,255 students.

Enrollment in health and rehabilitation at Mansfield is up 73%, the business program is up 36%, engineering increased 16% and arts and sciences are up 12%.

The campus attributes a portion of its success to programs like Upward Bound, a federally funded pre-college program, as well as LeaderRichland for Richland County middle school students, and Manufacturing Days, which brings high school students to campus to learn about careers in manufacturing.

New first-year students across the university are Buckeyes at heart, with 68% of the total class coming from Ohio. This class of new first-year students is also exceptionally talented, with 97% graduating in the top 25% of their high school class and with an average ACT score of 30.6 and SAT score of 1397.

New scholarship programs

In the State of the University address this month, Carter announced two new scholarship programs to support more Ohio students who choose ������̳. The will provide full cost of attendance scholarships, plus a $5,000 supplemental award to support educational opportunities and academic support, to Ohio students who score a perfect 36 on the ACT or a perfect 1600 on the SAT.

The university’s will cover tuition and fees for students from families with an adjusted gross income of $100,000 or lower who start at one of ������̳’s regional campuses before transferring to the Columbus campus.
